OUR STORY: The Night Everything Changed

December 2018.

Ring of Pakistan had just finished a sold-out show in Lahore.

International wrestlers. Packed arena. Championship belts. We were on top of the world.

Then an elderly Pehlwan approached us backstage.

“Your show was impressive. “But do you know what we’ve lost? While you’re entertaining crowds, our heritage is dying.”

He told us about abandoned Akharas. Forgotten legends.

Young Pakistanis who knew international wrestlers but had never heard of Gama Pehlwan. Abandoned training grounds where champions were born.

That conversation haunted us

THE DECISION

We realized: We were celebrating modern wrestling success while traditional Pehlwani – the foundation of everything – was disappearing.

In 2025, Chairman Pir Syed Asim Ali Kazmi and CEO Imran Shah made a bold decision:
